- Mumbai Indians' poor performance continues in IPL 2024
- We failed to play as a team: Piyush Chawla
- MI is almost out of the race for the playoffs of the 17th season
Mumbai Indians are in the headlines even before the start of IPL 2024. The first thing was about change in captaincy, which was being seen as Hardik vs Rohit. And now under the leadership of the new captain, Mumbai Indians are in the headlines due to their poor performance. The team's play has been so bad so far that the team that held the title of the most successful team of the league is now almost out of the race for the playoffs of the 17th season.
Now the question is, what is the reason for such poor performance of Mumbai Indians? In response to which everyone is pointing fingers at captain Hardik Pandya. Everyone is attributing his poor performance to the deteriorating balance in the team due to his being made the captain. But Piyush Chawla, who plays for Mumbai Indians, has something else to say. Spinner Piyush Chawla has tried to explain the real reason for the defeat.
Piyush Chawla told the reason for MI's defeat
After losing the match against KKR, leg spinner Piyush Chawla explained the reason for Mumbai Indians' defeat and said that we did not lose because of batting failure. Nor did they lose because of bowling failure. We lost because we failed to play as a team. You have to accept that T20 is a game of speed. And, we failed to achieve that momentum. This happens only once with each team, which can happen with any team.
Kolkata created history
