According to a report, while trying to buy a ticket, a fan fell into the hands of a fraud agency, due to which he lost Rs 3 lakh. This story was posted from an Instagram account. In which the availability of tickets was asked. The ticket seller identified himself as Padma Sinha Vijay Kumar and introduced himself as an official employee selling IPL tickets.
What is the whole matter?
A person named Samarth is claiming that he has been cheated in the matter of IPL tickets. Samarth is a resident of Sudama Nagar, Bengaluru. Samarth clicked on an ad on Instagram to buy tickets for the CSK vs RCB match. The fraudster revealed his name as Padma Singh Vijay Kumar and claimed to be an official employee of IPL. He also sent his number and Aadhar card to get help. In this situation, Samarth paid a total of Rs 7,900 to Padma Sinha to buy 3 tickets worth Rs 2,300 each.
Complaint lodged with cyber crime police
However, when Samarth did not receive the e-ticket, Padma Sinha demanded Rs 67,000 from him. When Samarth asked the reason for demanding so much money, the person claiming to be an official employee of IPL started making excuses. After trusting the person, Samarth sent a total of Rs 3 lakh in separate payments to the fraudster. Despite all this he did not get the ticket. After this incident, a person named Samarth has lodged a complaint with the cyber crime police. Police have registered a case under section 420 of the IPC and said that tickets for the matches to be held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium are available only on the official website and counter of RCB.
