In the ongoing match against Chennai Super Kings at HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala, Harshal clean bowled Dhoni on the very first ball without opening the account. Harshal did not celebrate even after clean bowling Dhoni. Dhoni came to bat at number 9 for the first time in IPL but became the victim of a golden duck.

Something happened in the last over of the match which no one would have even thought of. Dhoni came to bat in the 19th over of Chennai's innings but was clean bowled on the very first ball. Dhoni was dismissed by Harshal Patel for a golden duck. When Dhoni was out on the very first ball, there was silence in the entire stadium. No one can believe what happened to Dhoni. This is the first time that MS Dhoni has been out in the current season of IPL. But bowler Harshal did not celebrate his wicket. On the fourth ball of the over, Harshal clean bowled Shardul Thakur and on the very next ball he uprooted Dhoni's stumps. However, after dismissing Dhoni, Harshal raised both his hands in the air but did not celebrate loudly.

When Harshal Patel was asked about his celebration after the end of Chennai's innings, he said, “The wicket was dry. When Dhoni was clean bowled, I did not celebrate the wicket because I respect him a lot. The more you bowl, the better you will become. I have been practicing a lot in the nets and when it comes down to it, you get good results.
