There may be a big change in the rules of IPL, problems will increase for weak teams
- BCCI's IPL rules may change!
- 8 players can be retained in mega auction
- This rule will increase the difficulties of weaker teams
Big news is coming out during IPL 2024. BCCI is going to change the rules of IPL. This will increase the problems of weaker teams. In such a situation, this rule will also increase the difficulties of Virat Kohli's team Royal Challengers Bangalore. Bengaluru team is considered to be the weakest team of IPL, as RCB has not won a single IPL trophy yet. Now with the implementation of this rule, the trophy race will become more difficult for RCB as well as all the weaker teams. On the other hand, all the strong teams are there, they will get stronger.
What is this rule of IPL?
BCCI is going to hold a meeting with all the team management of IPL. This meeting was to be held in Ahmedabad on 16 April, but it has been postponed. The new date of this meeting will be announced soon. Before this meeting, a rule is being discussed a lot. If BCCI implements this rule then it will increase the problems of some franchises. According to a report, most of the franchises are demanding that the retention rule of 8 players be implemented in the mega auction. Mega auction of IPL is going to happen next year. In such a situation, speculations are being made that most of the franchises have only one demand, hence BCCI will accept it.
8 players can be retained
With the introduction of this rule, all the strong teams like Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals will retain their 8 lethal players in the Mega Auction 2025. Also, no matter how strong the teams are, they will always be stronger because they will have the chance to retain all the big players. On the other hand, not all weak teams have 8 players that they can retain. In such a situation, weaker teams will be forced to release their players. Apart from this, after the rule of retaining 8 players, big players will not be able to come in the auction. Due to which weak teams will never get good players. Now it remains to be seen whether BCCI implements this rule or not.
