BCCI has also approached CSK coach Stephen Fleming to become the head coach of Team India and Fleming is also said to be the first choice of BCCI. After which now BCCI is thinking of taking the help of MS Dhoni to make Fleming the new head coach.

Former New Zealand cricket team captain Stephen Fleming has been the coach of Chennai Super Kings in the IPL since 2009. Under the captaincy of Dhoni and coaching of Fleming, CSK has won the IPL title 5 times. Fleming's rapport with the Indian players is also favorable for him. Due to which he remains the first choice of BCCI. According to a report, Fleming expressed concern about his contract till 2027 and rejected it.
