Sports: Ministry of Health banned advertisement of tobacco and liquor before IPL

Writing a letter to IPL president Arun Dhumal, the League has directed the League to ban all types of tobacco and liquor dissemination during the broadcast. Atul Goyal, director of the Ministry of Health, wrote in the letter that cricketers are ideal for the youth of India, so they should not work directly and indirectly in protection related to alcohol or tobacco. Inside the IPL stadium where matches and related matches are held, and all types of tobacco and alcohol advertisements will be strictly implemented. Players (including commentators) should not be excited about doing such advertisements. IPL is popular in the country and as a result sponsors are also attracted. Players are ideal for youth to promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
