Ravindra Jadeja was instrumental in Chennai’s victory, taking three wickets in his spell. Meanwhile, Ajinkya Rahane played a blistering knock, scoring a half-century off just 19 balls to give Chennai a flying start. His performance helped the team comfortably chase down the target.
Great innings of Rahane and Rituraj
Rahane scored 61 runs off 27 balls. During his innings, Ajinkya Rahane smashed seven fours and three sixes, scoring at a blistering strike rate of 225.93. Rituraj Gaikwad remained unbeaten on 40 runs off 36 balls, while Shivam Dubey contributed 28 runs off 26 balls. Ambati Rayudu also played a crucial role, scoring 20 not out off 16 balls to steer Chennai to victory. Unfortunately, Devon Conway failed to open his account in the match. Jason Behrendorff, Piyush Chawla, and Kumar Kartikeya picked up one wicket each for Mumbai.
