BCCI has fixed the salary cap at Rs 18 crore for the first player, Rs 14 crore for the second player, Rs 11 crore for the third player, Rs 18 crore for the fourth player and Rs 14 crore for the fifth player. But it is not clear whether this will be from the total purse or not.
Rs 75 crore will be spent on retention
This time teams will be able to retain a maximum of six players. It also includes Right to Match (RTM) option. A total of Rs 75 crore is to be spent on this. The total value of the purse is Rs 120 crore. The maximum number of capped players can be 5. The maximum number of uncapped players can be two.
