Dhoni will hold a meeting with CSK before the mega auction, know how much salary he will get?

Chennai Super Kings has started preparations for the mega auction of IPL 2025. The team will soon announce the list of retained and declared players. Before this, former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni will meet CSK officials. According to a report, Dhoni can hold a meeting in the last week of this month (October). It is not yet decided whether Dhoni will play the next season or not. Also, it is not clear how much he will be paid if he plays.
Dhoni will meet CSK management
According to reports, Dhoni can meet Chennai Super Kings officials on 29th or 30th October. He is not available to sit till 28th October. The process for the next season will be decided only after the meeting between Dhoni and CSK officials. If Dhoni plays, the biggest question will be whether he will play as a capped player or uncapped. If Dhoni plays as an uncapped player then the salary will be affected.
How will Dhoni's salary be decided?
Dhoni has been playing for CSK since 2018. He has previously played for Rising Pune Supergiants for two seasons. But as soon as the ban on CSK was lifted, he joined the team. He is getting a salary of Rs 12 crore from the 2022 season itself. But now how they will play will be decided after the meeting. If Dhoni plays for CSK as an uncapped player then the salary will be reduced.
Mega auction may take place in Riyadh
Mega auction of IPL 2025 may take place in Riyadh. Before this, all the teams will have to declare the list of retained and players by 31st October. Mega auction may take place on 24th and 25th November. However, its official announcement is yet to be made.
