In a statement on social media, BCCI Secretary said, players playing in IPL will get a separate amount of Rs 7.5 lakh for each match in addition to the contract amount with any team. At the same time, if a player plays all the matches then he can earn Rs 1.05 crore more from the contract with the team. He said that all the franchises will keep a separate fund of Rs 12.60 crore for match fees.

Uncapped players will benefit
Uncapped players will benefit the most from this decision of BCCI because their base price is only Rs 20 lakh. In such a situation, if an uncapped player is sold for Rs 20 lakh and plays all the matches of the season, then he will earn Rs 1.05 crore.
How many players can be retained?
According to a report, the number of retained players is going to increase before the IPL 2025 auction. Now the franchise can retain five players before IPL 2025. Apart from this, according to the new update, franchisees will also be able to use 1 RTM card. Mumbai Indians may benefit from the new rule. The team can retain Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah and Tim David.
