After separation from KKR, Shreyas Iyer broke his silence for the first time, know what he said?

Shreyas Iyer will captain Punjab Kings in IPL 2025. Earlier in IPL 2024, Kolkata Knight Riders had won the title under the captaincy of Iyer, although KKR did not retain Shreyas. This decision of KKR was surprising even for the fans. Now Shreyas Iyer has broken his silence on leaving KKR for the first time.
Shreyas Iyer explained
Fans are surprised by the fact that the team has not retained the captain under whose captaincy the team won the title last season. Something similar happened with former KKR captain Shreyas Iyer. Iyer has broken his silence on leaving KKR for the first time. While talking to the media, Shreyas Iyer said, “I enjoyed a lot after winning the championship with KKR. There were a lot of fans, they were bringing a lot of energy to the stadium and I enjoyed every moment I spent there.
He further added, “So obviously, we had talks right after the IPL Championship but there were no talks for a few months and not much effort was made for retention. I wondered what was happening. So due to lack of communication we reached a situation where we decided to part ways with mutual consent.
Iyer was disappointed at not being retained
Shreyas Iyer said, “Yes, obviously there is frustration, because when you do not have a fixed line of communication and if you know things a week before the retention date, then clearly something is missing. So I had to take a decision. Whatever is written has to be done. But apart from that, I just want to say that the time I spent there with Shahrukh sir, the family and everyone was amazing and naturally, winning the championship was probably an integral part of my life.
